Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Benigno Romano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ramblones's supporters rose to their feet, but Benigno Romano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amador Refugio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Miguel Ángel Willis to make the kick off. In the 51st minute, Haroldo Galoer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Amador Refugio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benigno Romano in the 53rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Jáchal's zone, Benigno Romano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amador Refugio came out of the goal and Benigno Romano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 57 minutes into the match, Benigno Romano notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Jáchal's Amador Refugio. Amador Refugio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Miguel Ángel Willis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benigno Romano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Amador Refugio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 65 minutes, Miguel Ángel Willis put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Amador Refugio. In the 68thth minute of the game Miguel Ángel Willis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Jáchal's Amador Refugio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Eleuterio Torres charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Ramblones had played much better football throughout.
