The supporters of River Plate booed when San Lorenzo de Calzada was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Venancio Inautzi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abelardo Azeari took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 31st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Felipe Cordeiro. San Lorenzo de Calzada's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Octavio Gergori showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fidel Hechter in the 71st minute of the match. A collision led to San Lorenzo de Calzada getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Ivan Sol hit a great ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 75 minutes into the game, when Teodosio Montae put in a rough tackle. In the 74th minute, one of River Plate:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for River Plate.
