An unexpectedly hard shot by Bonifacio Formerio in the 4th minute of play forced Monaco's goalkeeper Raimundo Francis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 5 minutes into the match, Monaco's goal looked a bit too open when Leonides Merexildo came free, but Raimundo Francis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Raimundo Francis made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Paulino Venceslas sent off a good shot on target. 10 minutes into the game, Leonides Merexildo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Raimundo Francis. Leonides Merexildo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. The crowd rose to their feet as La Era Rosa's Leonides Merexildo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Raimundo Francis. That made the score 2-0 after 18 minutes of play. La Era Rosa's Joel Montxo got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 22 minutes, Bonifacio Formerio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Era Rosa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bonifacio Formerio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 24th minute, Monaco's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Paulino Venceslas fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 25th minute, Paulino Venceslas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonides Merexildo in the 36th minute of play forced Monaco's goalkeeper Raimundo Francis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Bonifacio Formerio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Margus Arak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 41 minutes into the match, Paulino Venceslas notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Monaco's Raimundo Francis. Raimundo Francis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Saverio Cordario recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 45 minutes, Paulino Venceslas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. La Era Rosa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulino Venceslas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Raimundo Francis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonides Merexildo in the 47th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The wind increased when Paulino Venceslas made the kick off in the second half. Raimundo Francis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonides Merexildo in the 62nd minute of play. Paulino Venceslas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Raimundo Francis read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in La Era Rosa's zone, Danilo Lando stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Isidro Veto came out of the goal and Danilo Lando tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Monaco's goalkeeper Raimundo Francis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Raimundo Francis stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paulino Venceslas's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. Danilo Lando kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Monaco's Raimundo Francis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulino Venceslas in the 76th minute of play. After 76 minutes, Danilo Lando mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Monaco and the La Era Rosa players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of La Era Rosa booed when Monaco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danilo Lando didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Moises Mancio came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the La Era Rosa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Moises Mancio couldn't finish the play. Paulino Venceslas struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Raimundo Francis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Era Rosa. Leonides Merexildo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Raimundo Francis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Monaco's zone, Paulino Venceslas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Raimundo Francis came out of the goal and Paulino Venceslas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Monaco's Raimundo Francis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulino Venceslas in the 91st minute of play. Raimundo Francis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Montxo, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. If Leonides Merexildo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. La Era Rosa fully deserved thier win.
