Clodoveo Ferdinand didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joachim Månsson went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Modesto Tajo hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Joachim Månsson took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Clodoveo Ferdinand. Clodoveo Ferdinand dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Clodoveo Ferdinand showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joachim Månsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. In the 20th minute Juli Cerda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clodoveo Ferdinand saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Nicanor Ascencio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 25 minutes into the match, 9 de Diciembre's goal looked a bit too open when Joachim Månsson came free, but Clodoveo Ferdinand reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Joachim Månsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Clodoveo Ferdinand was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. In the 34th minute, Joachim Månsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Inter Miami fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-7. Camilo Loramendi hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in 9 de Diciembre's zone, Natalio Lapurdi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Clodoveo Ferdinand came out of the goal and Natalio Lapurdi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Clodoveo Ferdinand didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Angel Gatev went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-8 was the resulting score. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-8 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bayram Karataev to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 51 minutes, Natalio Lapurdi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Inter Miami's supporters crossed their fingers, but Natalio Lapurdi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Nicanor Ascencio came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the 9 de Diciembre fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nicanor Ascencio couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, 9 de Diciembre's Clodoveo Ferdinand got control of the ball when Joachim Månsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to 9 de Diciembre getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Nicanor Ascencio hit a great ball. After 64 played minutes 9 de Diciembre got a freekick which was hit by Niceto Ixidor. In the 65th match minute, 9 de Diciembre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Modesto Tajo to maneuver through the defense. 65 minutes into the match, 9 de Diciembre's goal looked a bit too open when Natalio Lapurdi came free, but Clodoveo Ferdinand reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With an all-out effort, Inter Miami's Clodoveo Ferdinand threw himself towards the right post 69 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Angel Gatev, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 73 minutes into the match, 9 de Diciembre's goalkeeper Clodoveo Ferdinand had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ruben Svensson. 77 minutes into the match, Angel Gatev dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Clodoveo Ferdinand, 0-9. Bayram Karataev fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 81st minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball went over. It was a very nice shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Natalio Lapurdi in the 84th minute of play forced 9 de Diciembre's goalkeeper Clodoveo Ferdinand to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 9 de Diciembre's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Angel Gatev 86 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-10. It was beautiful to see 9 de Diciembre's Bayram Karataev in action when he in the 90th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Clodoveo Ferdinand made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Joachim Månsson sent off a good shot on target. Natalio Lapurdi scored 0-11 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Clodoveo Ferdinand, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The 9 de Diciembre fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Inter Miami were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
