The referee ignored General Alvear's protests and gave Alfonso Illan a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Deportivo San Onofre booed when General Alvear was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfonso Illan didn't get a good kick on the ball. 12 minutes into the game, Clemente Theobald cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Benedicto Evangelista was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Clemente Theobald managed to get in a good position for a shot. General Alvear's supporters rose to their feet, but Clemente Theobald was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benedicto Evangelista breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Alfonso Illan came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the General Alvear fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfonso Illan couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Clemente Theobald in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benedicto Evangelista prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 24thth minute of the game Clemente Theobald who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Deportivo San Onofre's Benedicto Evangelista was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 31 minutes, Codruț Iordache managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Deportivo San Onofre's supporters crossed their fingers, but Codruț Iordache was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 33 minutes in the game Kuncho Chenkov did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Codruț Iordache. Benedicto Evangelista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Clemente Theobald in the 35th minute of the match. 39 minutes into the game, General Alvear's Timoteo Haritz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benedicto Evangelista made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Benedicto Evangelista came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by General Alvear's Clemente Theobald. But to his dismay, Clemente Theobald quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. When General Alvear's Clemente Theobald in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Deportivo San Onofre's goalie prevented a goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Codruț Iordache was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind Deportivo San Onofre's goalkeeper Benedicto Evangelista, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A hard, long distance shot from Alfonso Illan flew over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Codruț Iordache managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo San Onofre's supporters rose to their feet, but Codruț Iordache was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfredo Anaya breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alfredo Anaya took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Danilo Sidro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Codruț Iordache had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 60th minute Codruț Iordache shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo Anaya saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfonso Illan was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 65th minute. General Alvear's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Kuncho Chenkov made in the 70th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Gualterio Txaran. A hard shot 74 in the game by Clemente Theobald from a close distance when the talented Benedicto Evangelista managed to make a qualified save. Deportivo San Onofre's players were relieved. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Clemente Theobald in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Benedicto Evangelista prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alfonso Illan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Benedicto Evangelista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alfonso Illan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Benedicto Evangelista having to make a save. Clemente Theobald sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Clemente Theobald received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Benedicto Evangelista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The General Alvear players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
