After 35 played minutes Temperley got a freekick which was hit by Rodolfo Guzman. After a defensive mix-up in Temperley's zone, Jose Cefero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Braulio Fliz came out of the goal and Jose Cefero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of La Academia Racing Club booed when Temperley was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lisandro Bartoli didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rodrigo Sandalio took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 40th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Braulio Fliz. Temperley's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Fernan Jago received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Braulio Fliz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, La Academia Racing Club's Adan Iago got a free kick in the 44th minute. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Clodoveo Fidensio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gavino Euloxu in the 47th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Fausto Maurin showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-2. If Marco Quilino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. Marcelino Dantae hit a great ball. Clodoveo Fidensio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustavo Inguma in the 78th minute of the match. Clodoveo Fidensio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gavino Euloxu, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Enrique Jesco made in the 90th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Gustavo Inguma immediately put the ball in play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marco Quilino in the 91st minute of play forced Temperley's goalkeeper Braulio Fliz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 95th minute, Lisandro Bartoli left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Temperley fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. La Academia Racing Club's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
