But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tobias Ongile couldn't finish the play. After 8 minutes of play, Vtec FC's Paolo Jatsu made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marcelino Delfino was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 11th minute Paolo Jatsu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelino Delfino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 15 minutes into the game, Metán AFC's Tobias Ongile nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Federico Pero made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Marcelino Delfino was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Paolo Jatsu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 19 minute of play. Paolo Jatsu came free with the goalkeeper in the 29th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Marcelino Delfino could save by the left post. When Joaquin Tab fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vtec FC's protests and gave Joaquin Tab a yellow card for diving instead. Paolo Jatsu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Marcelino Delfino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Metán AFC booed when Vtec FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paolo Jatsu didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tobias Ongile in the 74th minute of play forced Vtec FC's goalkeeper Federico Pero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
