Naipe's attentive Ezequiel Berto managed to snatch the ball when Eustacio Bras made a throw-in in the 25th minute of the game. Rafael Kimetz hit a great ball. A sloppy throw-in by Nereo Bartoli in the 38th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Naipe's Silverio Machado. After 38 played minutes, Naipe's Silverio Machado shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Maximino Rudolfo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Naipe reached it. Naipe's Ezequiel Berto managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Eustacio Bras in the 41 minute of the game. After the first half Naipe were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Denis Rocio to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Silverio Machado threw the ball into play from the sideline. Atletico River Gold's Nereo Bartoli quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Leonardo Marino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 55 minutes into the match, Leonardo Marino dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Maximino Rudolfo, 1-3. After 58 played minutes Naipe got a freekick which was hit by Ladislao Txartiko. Atletico River Gold's Maximino Rudolfo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonardo Marino in the 62nd minute of play. After 64 minutes, Nereo Bartoli mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atletico River Gold and the Naipe players grew even worse after the yellow card.
