After 17 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Atlético Mermoz! In the 19th minute there was a penalty for Xeneize Jrs.. Epifanio Justin stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Arnulfo Txema. 0-1. Arnulfo Txema took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emiliano Loramendi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 30 minutes into the match, Xeneize Jrs.'s goal looked a bit too open when Felix Orte came free, but Freddy Atauri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 32 minutes into the match, Xeneize Jrs.'s goalkeeper Freddy Atauri had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aaron Ritchie. Atlético Mermoz's Arnulfo Txema played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mateo Rosario in the 33rd minute of play. Arnulfo Txema made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flavio Kinsen in the 34th minute of play. After having played for 36 minutes, Aaron Ritchie managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlético Mermoz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aaron Ritchie was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Atlético Mermoz's Eugenio Abalos got a free kick in the 37th minute. 40 minutes into the match, Atlético Mermoz's goal looked a bit too open when Emiliano Loramendi came free, but Arnulfo Txema reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Atlético Mermoz's Arnulfo Txema played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Epifanio Justin in the 42nd minute of play. In the 45th of the match, Felix Orte tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Freddy Atauri got in the way and made a wonderful save. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emiliano Loramendi made a kick off. Flavio Kinsen hit a great freekick 50 minutes into the match. In the 52nd minute, Rosendo Barbosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Xeneize Jrs.'s Emiliano Loramendi got a free kick in the 54th minute. Aaron Ritchie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Freddy Atauri having to interfere. A collision led to Xeneize Jrs. getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. 庞桦洋 hit a great ball. Gerardo Mannuel kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Atlético Mermoz's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Flavio Kinsen 67 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-2. Mateo Rosario came free with the goalkeeper in the 72nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Arnulfo Txema could save by the left post. Freddy Atauri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aaron Ritchie in the 73rd minute of play. 庞桦洋 kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. The supporters of Xeneize Jrs. booed when Atlético Mermoz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rosendo Barbosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 81stth minute of the game Rosendo Barbosa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Xeneize Jrs.'s Freddy Atauri was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 83 played minutes Atlético Mermoz got a freekick which was hit by Ezequiel Centurión. 87 minutes into the match, Xeneize Jrs.'s goal looked a bit too open when Aaron Ritchie came free, but Freddy Atauri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Felix Orte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Freddy Atauri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Freddy Atauri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aaron Ritchie in the 91st minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leo Ponzio during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 94th minute, Leo Ponzio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Xeneize Jrs. supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Xeneize Jrs. would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
