Spectators: 7363 (Terracing: 5523, Seating: 1693, VIP seats: 147) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Marciano Nikola started the match with the kick off. After 3 minutes, Alfonso Ekain mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Universidad Buenos Aires and the Berros players grew even worse after the yellow card. Universidad Buenos Aires's Gaylord Pika played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arturo Santikurtz in the 7th minute of play. Victorino Mon might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Raimundo Valerio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Victorino Mon ran back to his position shaking his head. 14 minutes into the match, Universidad Buenos Aires's goal looked a bit too open when Marciano Nikola came free, but Gaylord Pika reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gaylord Pika showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arturo Santikurtz in the 20th minute of the match. Victorino Mon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Berros's Marciano Nikola in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Universidad Buenos Aires's goalie prevented a goal. If Arturo Santikurtz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Agustin Oskarbi's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Raimundo Valerio - 1-0 was put on the score board in the 33rd minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alfonso Ekain made a kick off. Universidad Buenos Aires's Gaylord Pika proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Universidad Buenos Aires from getting a goal against them. Universidad Buenos Aires's Victorino Mon got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Arturo Santikurtz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gaylord Pika was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Marciano Nikola showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 61 minute of play. The supporters of Berros booed when Universidad Buenos Aires was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcelo Ilazki didn't get a good kick on the ball. Victorino Mon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Arturo Santikurtz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Gaylord Pika tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Marciano Nikola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arturo Santikurtz scored 1-2 in the 81st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gaylord Pika, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 84th minute, Arturo Santikurtz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Berros fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. A collision led to Universidad Buenos Aires getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Ambrosio Lander hit a great ball. Gaylord Pika made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arturo Santikurtz in the 92nd minute. Gaylord Pika was a little too slow when Arturo Santikurtz got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 95th minute. The score was now 1-4. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Berros had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
