The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Amadeo Sal succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 11th playminute. With an all-out effort, Akd F.C's Ragnar Brodin threw himself towards the right post 14 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jose Pio, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Martin Bazil kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. In the 23rdth minute of the game Jose Pio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Holmberg's Ragnar Brodin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 26 minutes into the game, Rodolfo Rumaldo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Gaston Eneko was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jose Pio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ragnar Brodin having to interfere. If Rodolfo Rumaldo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leo Clementi struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Gaston Eneko didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Holmberg. The supporters of Holmberg booed when Akd F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Feliciano Urtats didn't get a good kick on the ball. Martin Bazil was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 40th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After 43 played minutes Holmberg got a freekick which was hit by Martin Bazil. Godfredo Galtero charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Godfredo Galtero the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jose Pio to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jose Pio in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ragnar Brodin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Jose Pio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 74th minute, Geronimo Indar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 78 minutes into the game, Holmberg's Leo Clementi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gaston Eneko made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. After a rather tough play, Holmberg's Elpidio Cidro got a free kick in the 82nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jose Pio in the 85th minute of play forced Holmberg's goalkeeper Ragnar Brodin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Amadeo Sal's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ragnar Brodin was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. In the 96th match minute, Holmberg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elpidio Cidro to maneuver through the defense. In the 97th minute, Virgilio Amato hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ragnar Brodin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iker Joseph, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. The Holmberg supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Holmberg would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
