After 4 played minutes, C A colon's Teodosio Fix shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Godfredo Criston came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in C A colon reached it. After 8 minutes, Francisco Remigio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C A colon and the Godoy Cruz Antonio Tomba players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 8th match minute, C A colon was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francisco Remigio to maneuver through the defense. With an all-out effort, Godoy Cruz Antonio Tomba's Severo Ciceron threw himself towards the right post 12 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ariel Gau, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Benicio Marin in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Godfredo Criston prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gu Shi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Godfredo Criston having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Godoy Cruz Antonio Tomba's Jairo Gorosti got a free kick in the 33rd minute. In the 38th minute, Ariel Gau hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Godfredo Criston didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gu Shi went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. After 43 minutes, Gregorio Federigo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Godoy Cruz Antonio Tomba and the C A colon players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of C A colon booed when Godoy Cruz Antonio Tomba was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gregorio Federigo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gu Shi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 58 minutes of play, C A colon's Gu Shi made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Godfredo Criston was left in no man's land by his defense there! Godoy Cruz Antonio Tomba's defense didn't have a chance, in the 72nd minute, when Benicio Marin scored to the left of an out of position Godfredo Criston, making the score, 0-6. After a rather tough play, Godoy Cruz Antonio Tomba's Fabian Neron got a free kick in the 75th minute. In the 76th minute Teodosio Fix shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Godfredo Criston saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Benicio Marin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Godfredo Criston tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 85th minute Tiburcio Iraunkor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Severo Ciceron saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 86 minutes into the match, C A colon's goal looked a bit too open when Bonifacio Haritzeder came free, but Severo Ciceron reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 89 minutes into the game, Godoy Cruz Antonio Tomba's Bonifacio Haritzeder nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Severo Ciceron made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-7. Godfredo Criston took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olof Vennerdal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. C A colon played a much better game than Godoy Cruz Antonio Tomba and deserved their victory. The Godoy Cruz Antonio Tomba players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
