Abelardo Jaume tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Gu Shi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Gu Shi managed to get in a good position for a shot. C A colon's supporters rose to their feet, but Gu Shi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abelardo Jaume breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Calchines AFC's Abelardo Jaume played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benicio Marin in the 15th minute of play. After some careless play in the C A colon defense, Efrain Abreu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Severo Ciceron. The C A colon fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Severo Ciceron should have stopped the shot. Gu Shi might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Abelardo Jaume. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gu Shi ran back to his position shaking his head. Benicio Marin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gu Shi received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Abelardo Jaume came out and tried to block the shot, but Gu Shi slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 28th minute. 34 minutes into the game, Amado Guzman lined in a short shot 2-1 behind a frustrated Abelardo Jaume. Abelardo Jaume made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gu Shi in the 41st minute. Santiago Francis kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gu Shi was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Benicio Marin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The C A colon fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. After a rather tough play, C A colon's Francisco Remigio got a free kick in the 55th minute. C A colon made a substitution. Evaristo Belmiro replaced Amado Guzman. Teodosio Fix took the ball and in the 60 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Abelardo Jaume. Abelardo Jaume dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. C A colon's Severo Ciceron proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save C A colon from getting a goal against them. C A colon's Benicio Marin got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benicio Marin in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abelardo Jaume saved Calchines AFC from getting behind. In the 75th minute, Francisco Remigio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Evaristo Belmiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Abelardo Jaume made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gu Shi in the 84th minute of play. After 87 minutes of play, C A colon's Benicio Marin made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Abelardo Jaume was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Gu Shi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Abelardo Jaume came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by C A colon's Benicio Marin. But to his dismay, Benicio Marin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-1. After 97 minutes of play, C A colon's Gu Shi made it 7-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Abelardo Jaume was left in no man's land by his defense there! C A colon's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
