Defensores de Belgrano's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Cirilo Ponce fell near the penalty area in the 11th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Malvinas Argentinas's protests and gave Cirilo Ponce a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Malvinas Argentinas's Cirilo Ponce got a free kick in the 11th minute. In the 13th minute, Cirilo Ponce hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcelino Nel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silvestre Maurino in the 15th minute of play. When Cirilo Ponce was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 16 minutes had been played. In the 19th match minute, Defensores de Belgrano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eulalio Gonsalvo to maneuver through the defense. Silvestre Maurino took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 20th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Marcelino Nel. Defensores de Belgrano's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Marcelino Nel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geronimo Pierres in the 34th minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Malvinas Argentinas's goal looked a bit too open when Flavio Laffitte came free, but Javier Perez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Batıhan Baysal received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Javier Perez came out and tried to block the shot, but Batıhan Baysal slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 40th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Flavio Laffitte stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Flavio Laffitte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Javier Perez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 55 played minutes Defensores de Belgrano got a freekick which was hit by Silvio Bieito. Marcelino Nel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geronimo Pierres, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. 60 minutes into the game, Flavio Laffitte cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Javier Perez was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Javier Perez came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by Defensores de Belgrano's Flavio Laffitte. But to his dismay, Flavio Laffitte quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Batıhan Baysal in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Javier Perez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Defensores de Belgrano's goalkeeper Marcelino Nel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ceferino Caton charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ceferino Caton the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Defensores de Belgrano booed when Malvinas Argentinas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ceferino Caton didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience held their breath when Teobaldo Txeru in the 82nd minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Javier Perez's left hand side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Casimiro Gimenez during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Malvinas Argentinas's Casimiro Gimenez got a free kick in the 84th minute. Javier Perez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Batıhan Baysal, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Malvinas Argentinas's Javier Perez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Batıhan Baysal in the 95th minute of play. There was no doubt that Defensores de Belgrano were the better team. Defensores de Belgrano's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
