Jamaica F.C's defense didn't have a chance, in the 13th minute, when Eriberto Iago scored to the left of an out of position Marcelo Astigar, making the score, 2-0. In the 20th minute, Baudrix's Astor Intxixu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Marcelo Astigar. Marcelo Astigar yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. Marcelo Astigar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eriberto Iago, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 29th minute Eriberto Iago shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Astigar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eriberto Iago in the 32nd minute of play forced Jamaica F.C's goalkeeper Marcelo Astigar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lázaro Romo to strike the kick off in the second half. Jamaica F.C's Marcelo Astigar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marco Cefero in the 52nd minute of play. After some careless play in the Jamaica F.C defense, Marco Cefero kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcelo Astigar. The Jamaica F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcelo Astigar should have stopped the shot.
