If Manuel Beturian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Higinio Rozarius was out of position in the 21 minute of play, and Florentino Edur capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Florentino Edur really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After a rather tough play, Naranjito's Felix Paz got a free kick in the 23rd minute. Naranjito's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ernesto Iratze was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Teodosio Marin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernesto Iratze, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. In the 92nd minute Ernesto Iratze shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodosio Marin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 92nd minute, Cristobal Sazon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Naranjito's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
