Gaston Mark blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcial Pelagius having to make a save. Marcial Pelagius didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Vicente Cresconio went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Igor Garaile could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Tomas Cordera made a huge save. In the 21st minute, Vicente Cresconio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Garayalde AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. With 28 minutes on the clock, Simon Austin commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Garayalde AFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 27th minute. Penalty! Vicente Cresconio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Frontera's zone, Vicente Cresconio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcial Pelagius came out of the goal and Vicente Cresconio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 37 minutes into the game, Zeledon Sugoi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Marcial Pelagius was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Zeledon Sugoi might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcial Pelagius. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zeledon Sugoi ran back to his position shaking his head. Vicente Cresconio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Carmelo Silvanito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 2-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vicente Cresconio to make the kick off. Zeledon Sugoi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marcial Pelagius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vicente Cresconio in the 56th minute of play. Marcial Pelagius showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vicente Cresconio in the 63rd minute of the match. Vicente Cresconio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Marcial Pelagius tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 67 minutes, Zeledon Sugoi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Garayalde AFC and the Frontera players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Vicente Cresconio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 74th minute, Carmelo Silvanito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vicente Cresconio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Zeledon Sugoi came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Garayalde AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zeledon Sugoi couldn't finish the play. Leandro Abilio charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leandro Abilio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Garayalde AFC booed when Frontera was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leandro Abilio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 83rd minute Vicente Cresconio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcial Pelagius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gaston Mark was extremely unlucky when he, in the 84th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Marcial Pelagius showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vicente Cresconio, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. German Ariando in the 88thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Marcial Pelagius, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Marcial Pelagius showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carmelo Silvanito, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. The supporters of Garayalde AFC booed when Frontera was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leandro Luzaide didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anastasio Chap's late challenge caught a Garayalde AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anastasio Chap helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Frontera fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 96th minute. Penalty! In the 98th minute there was a penalty for Garayalde AFC. Adolfo Ceandro stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Marcial Pelagius. 2-4.
