Danilo Eusko took the ball and in the 17 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcial Pelagius. Marcial Pelagius dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Igor Garaile sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 24 minutes into the match, FC Goretti's goal looked a bit too open when Leandro Abilio came free, but Celestino Txema reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Danilo Eusko charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Danilo Eusko the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The audience was convinced that Casimiro Maura's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcial Pelagius was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. If Igor Garaile had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 34th minute, Leandro Abilio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Danilo Eusko was the one to do the kick off. Frontera's Marcial Pelagius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danilo Eusko in the 57th minute of play. Casimiro Maura could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Marcial Pelagius made a huge save. FC Goretti's Guaberto Koldobika suffered a concussion after 67 minutes and had to leave the field. When Lázaro Eufrasio fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Frontera's protests and gave Lázaro Eufrasio a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of FC Goretti booed when Frontera was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lázaro Eufrasio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Casimiro Maura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcial Pelagius having to interfere. FC Goretti's Casimiro Maura got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 83 minutes, Cipriano Jaume managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Goretti's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cipriano Jaume was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Igor Garaile managed to get in a good position for a shot. Frontera's supporters rose to their feet, but Igor Garaile was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Celestino Txema breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Casimiro Maura came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the FC Goretti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Casimiro Maura couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Frontera's zone, Casimiro Maura stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcial Pelagius came out of the goal and Casimiro Maura tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Frontera fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FC Goretti were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
