Sergio Loren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 43 minutes had been played when some careless play by Labs FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Armando Celio was slow to take the kick. During this time Parque Avellaneda's players had a chance to rest. In the 45th minute, Uriel Lia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mădălin Datcu was the one to do the kick off.
