The referee ignored Palmira AFC's protests and gave Abel Silbestre a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Palmira AFC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Abel Silbestre hit a great ball. 14 minutes into the match, Arnoldo Celipe had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Benjamin Lobo. Deportivo Union Central's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arnoldo Celipe was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Eduardo Raitin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Esteve Tancredo, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 30th minute, Filiberto Stephen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Palmira AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Ciro Guib's shot straight on target was not completely harmless.
