Eliseo Cordearo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hernan Shantala in the 17th minute of play. Eliseo Cordearo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hernan Shantala, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cecilio Gentza scored 0-2 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eliseo Cordearo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 25th minute, Ignacio Abad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eliseo Cordearo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cecilio Gentza in the 26th minute of the match. Filomeno Manni hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. 27 minutes into the game, Cecilio Gentza cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Eliseo Cordearo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Eliseo Cordearo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hernan Shantala in the 30th minute of play. After having played for 36 minutes, Hernan Shantala managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ramblón's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hernan Shantala was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ramblón's Hernan Shantala got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 43rd minute, Hernan Shantala got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Northampton's Filomeno Manni got his second yellow card of the match in the 47th minute. The referee ordered Filomeno Manni off the ground. The supporters of Ramblón booed when Northampton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filomeno Manni didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Delmiro Cordarius made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Cecilio Gentza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ramblón's supporters rose to their feet, but Cecilio Gentza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eliseo Cordearo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hernan Shantala's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eliseo Cordearo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. Ramblón's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! In the 66th match minute, Ramblón was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eloy Mercurio to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Northampton's Eliseo Cordearo got control of the ball when Eloy Mercurio tried to sneak it across the goal line. 72 minutes into the match, Cecilio Gentza dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Eliseo Cordearo, 0-5. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hernan Shantala in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eliseo Cordearo saved Northampton from getting behind. When Eloy Mercurio came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Ramblón fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eloy Mercurio couldn't finish the play. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Delmiro Cordarius managed to get in a good position for a shot. Northampton's supporters rose to their feet, but Delmiro Cordarius was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Timoteo Baumer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hernan Shantala fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eliseo Cordearo having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Northampton's zone, Cecilio Gentza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eliseo Cordearo came out of the goal and Cecilio Gentza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Northampton's Leon Bazil got a free kick in the 87th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Ernesto Gonza managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ramblón's supporters rose to their feet, but Ernesto Gonza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eliseo Cordearo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 96th minute Hernan Shantala shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eliseo Cordearo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
