In the 14th minute, Florencio Duardo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of S.S.C. Napoli booed when Taurus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rupert Venables didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 21 minutes, Alto Obeso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. S.S.C. In the 33rd minute Bath Peach shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robustiano Urtun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Taurus defense, Alto Obeso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Robustiano Urtun. The Taurus fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Robustiano Urtun should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Alto Obeso managed to get in a good position for a shot. S.S.C. Napoli's supporters rose to their feet, but Alto Obeso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Robustiano Urtun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alto Obeso stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The throw-in from Arturo Jacindo in the 54th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by S.S.C. Napoli's Cornel Stoian. Robustiano Urtun showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bath Peach, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. With 57 minutes on the clock, Uriel Santikurtz commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 57 played minutes Taurus got a freekick which was hit by Uriel Santikurtz. A sloppy throw-in by Arturo Jacindo in the 65th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by S.S.C. Napoli's Cornel Stoian. Robustiano Urtun was out of position in the 66 minute of play, and Alto Obeso capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edson Barbosa got free with Robustiano Urtun in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 81st minute of the match, Gabriel-Omar Funes Mori got a very nice opportunity to score, but Robustiano Urtun was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. If Alto Obeso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Taurus's Robustiano Urtun played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alto Obeso in the 88th minute of play. After having played for 96 minutes, Gabriel-Omar Funes Mori managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. S.S.C. Napoli's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gabriel-Omar Funes Mori was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
