Eliseo Cordearo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 16 minutes into the match, Unidos de Minsal F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Conrado Cruz came free, but Leonardo Burutzagi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Bartolo Su was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 23 minutes had been played. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jeremias Bizi in the 31st minute of play forced Unidos de Minsal F.C's goalkeeper Leonardo Burutzagi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Conrado Cruz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonardo Burutzagi having to interfere. Unidos de Minsal F.C's Angelo Cordairo got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bernabe Nisio hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. After 40 minutes of play, Unidos de Minsal F.C's Leon Ixidor made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eliseo Cordearo was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half Unidos de Minsal F.C were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cristobal Ticho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute of the match Unidos de Minsal F.C got a corner. Northampton's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Siro Handi ran over to the corner to take the kick. After 62 played minutes, Northampton's Ignacio Abad shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Leonardo Burutzagi came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Northampton reached it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Moises Txerran in the 66th minute of play forced Unidos de Minsal F.C's goalkeeper Leonardo Burutzagi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 74 played minutes Unidos de Minsal F.C got a freekick which was hit by Claudio Lorien. When the match had gone on for 79 minutes, Moises Txerran put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Leonardo Burutzagi. In the 82nd match minute, Unidos de Minsal F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Siro Handi to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Unidos de Minsal F.C defense, Moises Txerran kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leonardo Burutzagi. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Unidos de Minsal F.C's goalkeeper Leonardo Burutzagi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Unidos de Minsal F.C's Leonardo Burutzagi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeremias Bizi in the 93rd minute of play. Leonardo Burutzagi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Delmiro Cordarius in the 94th minute of the match. There was no doubt that Northampton were the better team. Northampton's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
