He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Elpidio Ursino struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Roberto Baristo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Monserrat. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Cecilio Gerazan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Monserrat's supporters rose to their feet, but Cecilio Gerazan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roberto Baristo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 27th minute, Cecilio Gerazan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Monserrat fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Nicolas Elia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 44 minutes into the match, Monserrat's goal looked a bit too open when Adolfo Eliu came free, but Leandro Bidun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Monserrat booed when Alpha Pegasus FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jorge Leizarraga didn't get a good kick on the ball.

A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. The supporters of Alpha Pegasus FC booed when Monserrat was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Venancio Montrell didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Nemesio Savion had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nicolas Elia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Elpidio Ursino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roberto Baristo having to interfere. The Monserrat supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Monserrat would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
