In the 4th minute Wilfredo Berart shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Federico Oroitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Union FC's attentive Nemesio Musko managed to snatch the ball when Victor Laurgain made a throw-in in the 24th minute of the game. After 28 minutes, Manuel Quintan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Union FC and the Gonzalitos players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Gonzalitos booed when Union FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuel Quintan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maximino Pere fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Federico Oroitz having to interfere. Wilfredo Berart took the ball and in the 36 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Federico Oroitz. Federico Oroitz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. Federico Oroitz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mariano Sansone went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-5 was the resulting score. Ernesto Uxio might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Federico Oroitz. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ernesto Uxio ran back to his position shaking his head. Disappointed in the 0-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Igor Joey to strike the kick off in the second half. Ernesto Uxio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Federico Oroitz having to interfere. 60 minutes into the game, Wilfredo Berart recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Federico Oroitz. Wilfredo Berart showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-6. After 63 played minutes Union FC got a freekick which was hit by Nemesio Musko. Federico Oroitz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ernesto Uxio in the 64th minute. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind Union FC's goalkeeper Federico Oroitz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 67 minutes into the match, Union FC's Igor Joey sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ciriaco Hodei narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Federico Oroitz came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Gonzalitos's Ernesto Uxio. But to his dismay, Ernesto Uxio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. In the 76th minute, Gonzalitos's Maximino Pere dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-8. In the 80th minute, Manuel Quintan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 86th minute, Wilfredo Berart made a precise shot to the right of Federico Oroitz. Union FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-9. Gonzalitos's Teo Ramond quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Nemesio Musko, made in the 90th minute of the game. Federico Oroitz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ernesto Uxio in the 93rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilfredo Berart in the 94th minute of play forced Union FC's goalkeeper Federico Oroitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ernesto Uxio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Union FC's Federico Oroitz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilfredo Berart in the 97th minute of play. Gonzalitos's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
