Benicio Weterio came out of the goal and Elvio Urtungo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Salvador Deunoro's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Anacleto Mergildo was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. Anacleto Mergildo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teofilo Jokin in the 8th minute of the match. Anacleto Mergildo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Teofilo Jokin, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Eustacio Manuelo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Benicio Weterio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Tambillos's goal looked a bit too open when Teofilo Jokin came free, but Anacleto Mergildo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anacleto Mergildo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teofilo Jokin in the 24th minute of play. In the 27th minute, Paolo Tajo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Salvador Deunoro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 30 minutes into the match, Tambillos's goal looked a bit too open when Teofilo Jokin came free, but Anacleto Mergildo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anacleto Mergildo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Salvador Deunoro in the 31st minute of play. Tambillos's Anacleto Mergildo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Teofilo Jokin in the 32nd minute of play. Tambillos's Eustacio Manuelo got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Anacleto Mergildo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Domingo Ekain in the 35th minute of the match. After 36 minutes, Prudencio Weather mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tambillos and the Kaizer Chiefs F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. Anacleto Mergildo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Teofilo Jokin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anacleto Mergildo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Salvador Deunoro in the 42nd minute of play. Salvador Deunoro kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Epifanio Pasqual during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 45 played minutes Kaizer Chiefs F.C got a freekick which was hit by Epifanio Pasqual. Teobaldo Cheche received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Benicio Weterio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eustacio Manuelo was the one to do the kick off. Luciano Guillem recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Teofilo Jokin got free with Anacleto Mergildo in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Elvio Urtungo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Salvador Deunoro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Anacleto Mergildo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elvio Urtungo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. After 74 minutes, Ernesto Ralondo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tambillos and the Kaizer Chiefs F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ernesto Ralondo hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eustacio Manuelo in the 78th minute of play forced Kaizer Chiefs F.C's goalkeeper Benicio Weterio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anacleto Mergildo made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Teofilo Jokin sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Kaizer Chiefs F.C booed when Tambillos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dante Eufemio didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Salvador Deunoro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kaizer Chiefs F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Salvador Deunoro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anacleto Mergildo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Kaizer Chiefs F.C walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
