After a defensive mix-up in SS Español's zone, Lucas Chorache stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Javier Marz came out of the goal and Lucas Chorache tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, SS Español's Javier Marz got control of the ball when Nicolas Cordeiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 64th minute, Marcelo Ascencio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Ciro Xabier fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SS Español's protests and gave Ciro Xabier a yellow card for diving instead.
