If Luis Gines had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Geovanni Proença might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arnoldo Tiniebra. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Geovanni Proença ran back to his position shaking his head. Luis Gines could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Arnoldo Tiniebra made a huge save. 12 minutes into the match, Zubillaga AFC's Tomás Ekain sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arnoldo Tiniebra narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Almagro FC's zone, Tomás Ekain stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arnoldo Tiniebra came out of the goal and Tomás Ekain tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Luis Gines sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luis Gines's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arnoldo Tiniebra read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. Luis Gines in the 32ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Arnoldo Tiniebra, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Ramiro Bihar hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Zubillaga AFC's Luis Gines got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arnoldo Tiniebra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomás Ekain in the 62nd minute of the match. The supporters of Almagro FC booed when Zubillaga AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geovanni Proença didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 70 played minutes Almagro FC got a freekick which was hit by Hipolito Foro. 72 minutes into the match, Almagro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Gines came free, but Arnoldo Tiniebra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arnoldo Tiniebra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Gines, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Zubillaga AFC had played much better football throughout.
