The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Paulo Guillen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Enrique Montel having to interfere. After 9 played minutes Languileo AFC got a freekick which was hit by Joel Txilar. If Paulo Guillen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Rogelio Goito came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Maquito fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rogelio Goito couldn't finish the play. Cheb Bensaoula was out of position in the 20 minute of play, and Antonio Gil capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Antonio Gil really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Languileo AFC's Cheb Bensaoula played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antonio Gil in the 27th minute of play. 31 minutes into the match, Paulo Guillen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Enrique Montel. Maquito's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Paulo Guillen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 34th match minute, Maquito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Modesto Chuan to maneuver through the defense. In the 35th minute, Joel Txilar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Guaberto Loi charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Rogelio Goito managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maquito's supporters rose to their feet, but Rogelio Goito was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cheb Bensaoula breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Antonio Gil stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Niceto Foro's late challenge caught a Languileo AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Niceto Foro helped the player get up and apologised. After 57 played minutes Maquito got a freekick which was hit by Niceto Foro. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind Languileo AFC's goalkeeper Cheb Bensaoula, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 61 minutes of play Languileo AFC's Guaberto Loi was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 62nd match minute, Languileo AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guaberto Loi to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antonio Gil in the 63rd minute of play forced Languileo AFC's goalkeeper Cheb Bensaoula to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cheb Bensaoula was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Maquito were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
