Fumatta FC's Florencio Giro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bruno Urdin in the 4th minute of play. After 6 minutes, Bruno Urdin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zubillaga AFC and the Fumatta FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Bruno Urdin kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. After having played for 11 minutes, Tomás Ekain managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zubillaga AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomás Ekain was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 12 minutes into the match, Fumatta FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luis Gines came free, but Florencio Giro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Florencio Giro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomás Ekain, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Luis Gines took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Florencio Giro. Florencio Giro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. A collision led to Zubillaga AFC getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Tomás Ekain hit a great ball. After 27 played minutes Fumatta FC got a freekick which was hit by Feliciano Pero. Florencio Giro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Gines in the 28th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eustacio Corderun in the 32nd minute of play forced Zubillaga AFC's goalkeeper Gilberto Jaunti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomás Ekain in the 36th minute of play forced Fumatta FC's goalkeeper Florencio Giro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Fumatta FC defense, Luis Gines kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Florencio Giro. The Fumatta FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Florencio Giro should have stopped the shot. After 41 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Fumatta FC! The referee gave Zubillaga AFC a penalty, 42 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Ricardo Laurendi, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Fumatta FC's Florencio Giro. 0-3. Luis Gines fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florencio Giro having to interfere. Fumatta FC's Florencio Giro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luis Gines in the 47th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Tomás Ekain's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Florencio Giro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. Luis Gines received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Florencio Giro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Florencio Giro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ricardo Laurendi in the 57th minute. Florencio Giro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomás Ekain in the 58th minute of the match. In the 59th match minute, Fumatta FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erubiel Pero to maneuver through the defense. 60 minutes into the match, Tomás Ekain dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Florencio Giro, 0-4. Luis Gines recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luis Gines got free with Florencio Giro in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Florencio Giro made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Luis Gines sent off a good shot on target. If Eustacio Corderun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Zubillaga AFC getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Santiago Leheren hit a great ball. Luis Gines fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florencio Giro having to interfere. 79 minutes into the game, Zubillaga AFC's Bruno Urdin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Florencio Giro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-6. In the 87th play minute Luis Gines came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Florencio Giro. 0-7. In the 91st minute, Luis Gines left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Zubillaga AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-8. When the final whistle sounded Zubillaga AFC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Fumatta FC.
