Santiago Jerrald's late challenge caught a Niupi FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Santiago Jerrald helped the player get up and apologised. Santiago Jerrald kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Roman Ler took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ezequiel Lastur, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Norberto Azibar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Garaile having to interfere. Ambrosio Iztal didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 2-0 via right post in the game's 21st minute. Mercedes AFC's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! The supporters of Niupi FC booed when Mercedes AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ambrosio Iztal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emilio Hunfredo kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. In the 32nd minute, Mercedes AFC's Nemesio Micael seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Nemesio Micael the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Mercedes AFC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Nemesio Micael had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 32 minutes into the game, one of Mercedes AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Ezequiel Lastur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roman Ler having to interfere. Roman Ler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ezequiel Lastur in the 40th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Niupi FC's Honorato Mateus got a free kick in the 46th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ambrosio Iztal to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, one of Niupi FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Niupi FC. The referee gave Mercedes AFC a penalty, 55 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Benedicto Frans, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Niupi FC's Gilberto Garaile. 3-1. Honorato Mateus succeeded in the game's 58th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-2. Gilberto Garaile showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ambrosio Iztal, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. In the 70th minute, Erubiel Raymundo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 72nd play minutes Ambrosio Iztal shot 4-2, a short shot which went by Gilberto Garaile and just under the crossbar into goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Benedicto Frans during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Mercedes AFC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Benedicto Frans hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ambrosio Iztal in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gilberto Garaile prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Ambrosio Iztal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erubiel Raymundo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilberto Garaile having to interfere. Enzo Calixto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Niupi FC getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Enzo Calixto hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Niupi FC's zone, Ambrosio Iztal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilberto Garaile came out of the goal and Ambrosio Iztal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee ended the match the Mercedes AFC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
