Calamar FC's Leopoldo Oriche proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Calamar FC from getting a goal against them. In the 28th match minute, Calamar FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaime Darien to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aristides Brun in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leopoldo Oriche prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Serafin Calvino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celedonio Ilixo having to interfere. Aristides Brun recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Ciriaco Maidana was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 54 minutes into the match. In the 54th minute, one of Calamar FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Calamar FC. The referee gave Ranser FC a penalty, 56 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Abelardo Urbez, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Calamar FC's Leopoldo Oriche. 1-2. Sixto Jacindo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gaston Ladio might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leopoldo Oriche. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gaston Ladio ran back to his position shaking his head. Aristides Brun took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leopoldo Oriche. Leopoldo Oriche dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. When Teodosio Pello fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ranser FC's protests and gave Teodosio Pello a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Ranser FC's Teodosio Pello got a free kick in the 73rd minute. A collision led to Ranser FC getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Abelardo Urbez hit a great ball. Calamar FC's Horacio Rudolfo was substituted for Serafin Calvino. In the 77th minute, Abelardo Urbez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Amado Millan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Celedonio Ilixo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jaime Darien during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jaime Darien hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. In the 89th minute, Sixto Jacindo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Calamar FC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
