Ricardo Pes hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. C.A.Talleres's Manuel Arnalt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardo Pes in the 33rd minute of play. Alfonso Lastur came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by C.A.Talleres's Virgilio Eutor. But to his dismay, Virgilio Eutor quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Abel Abadie managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.A.Talleres's supporters rose to their feet, but Abel Abadie was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alfonso Lastur breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 45th minute, Mauro Telo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Alfonso Lastur. The goal made the score 5-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Diego Guerau to make the kick off. Hernan Sanchez charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After 63 minutes of play, C.A.Talleres's Saul Seme made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alfonso Lastur was left in no man's land by his defense there! 68 minutes into the match, ELMASGRANDE's goal looked a bit too open when Saul Seme came free, but Alfonso Lastur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 69 minutes into the game, Saul Seme cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Alfonso Lastur was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Alfonso Lastur showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diego Guerau, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. After 78 played minutes ELMASGRANDE got a freekick which was hit by Nicolas Moise. After 83 played minutes C.A.Talleres got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Nafarroa. Arnoldo Delfino could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Manuel Arnalt made a huge save. In the 85th minute Mauro Telo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfonso Lastur saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Guerau in the 94th minute of play forced ELMASGRANDE's goalkeeper Alfonso Lastur to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
