The referee ignored Penca's protests and gave Rodrigo Arixo a yellow card for diving instead. Rodrigo Arixo hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pablo Demesio in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ferenc Segesváry prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Penca's Gilberto Diegotxe got a free kick in the 20th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Reynaldo Marquez kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Nicasio Ubelteso. That made the score 1-1 in the 22 minute of play. Ferenc Segesváry made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ambrosio Amor in the 28th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 30 minutes, Nicasio Ubelteso successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ferenc Segesváry took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ambrosio Amor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 37 minutes into the match, Penca's goal looked a bit too open when Laureano Panpili came free, but Ferenc Segesváry reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 41 minutes into the match, Bonifacio Rivero dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Nicasio Ubelteso, 2-1. Ferenc Segesváry showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ambrosio Amor, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. 48 minutes into the match, Penca's goal looked a bit too open when Pablo Demesio came free, but Ferenc Segesváry reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Bonifacio Rivero made the kick off in the second half. Pablo Demesio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Ferenc Segesváry made a huge save. Bonifacio Rivero's late challenge caught a Santupea's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bonifacio Rivero helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Penca getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Bonifacio Rivero hit a great ball. After 58 minutes of play, Santupea's Ambrosio Amor made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ferenc Segesváry was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ferenc Segesváry made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pablo Demesio in the 61st minute. Bonifacio Rivero scored 3-2 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nicasio Ubelteso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ambrosio Amor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Ferenc Segesváry tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nicasio Ubelteso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reynaldo Marquez in the 70th minute of play. If Ignacio Xacintu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 77 played minutes Penca got a freekick which was hit by Rodrigo Arixo. A collision led to Penca getting a freekick after 78 minutes play.
