With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cirilo Santxol in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nereo Pueblo saved Xeneizes from getting behind. Silvestre Rudolfo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nereo Pueblo having to interfere. With a little luck, Xeneizes's Nereo Pueblo got control of the ball when Silvestre Rudolfo tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 23rd minute Federico Victoro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudio Argoitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 27 minutes into the match, Trelew's goal looked a bit too open when Arturo Eutor came free, but Claudio Argoitz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Silvestre Rudolfo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Nereo Pueblo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Luisito Quilino came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Trelew fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luisito Quilino couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arturo Eutor in the 44th minute of play forced Trelew's goalkeeper Claudio Argoitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Arturo Eutor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After having played for 52 minutes, Silvestre Rudolfo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Trelew's supporters crossed their fingers, but Silvestre Rudolfo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Xeneizes's Nereo Pueblo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Froilan Henric in the 54th minute of play. If Arturo Eutor had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Federico Victoro got free with Claudio Argoitz in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 63rd minute Arturo Eutor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudio Argoitz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonides Gomesano in the 66th minute of play forced Trelew's goalkeeper Claudio Argoitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Trelew's Claudio Argoitz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Trelew from getting a goal against them. Federico Victoro's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 69thth minute, Claudio Argoitz skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Federico Victoro kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Xeneizes's Nereo Pueblo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cirilo Santxol in the 76th minute of play. In the 78th minute Silvestre Rudolfo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nereo Pueblo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 79th minute, Silvestre Rudolfo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Silvestre Rudolfo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 93 minutes into the match, Federico Victoro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Claudio Argoitz. Trelew's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Federico Victoro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2.
