Modesto Goiz kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Damaso Havier could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Vicente Aguilera made a huge save. Vicente Aguilera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Francisco Peli's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. After a rather tough play, Independiente's Zacarias Juvenal got a free kick in the 14th minute. Carrizal AFC's Severino Cerilo got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 19 played minutes Carrizal AFC got a freekick which was hit by Marco Erramu. In the 26th minute, Maximiliano Bazkoare got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 29th minute Francisco Peli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vicente Aguilera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 34th minute, Independiente's Generoso Chap seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Generoso Chap the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Independiente protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Generoso Chap had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 34 minutes into the game, one of Independiente:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Independiente:s Enzo Marin showed great skill when he stopped Severino Cerilo:s penalty. Carrizal AFC's Maximiliano Bazkoare got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Eleuterio Abella managed to get in a good position for a shot. Independiente's supporters rose to their feet, but Eleuterio Abella was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vicente Aguilera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Independiente's zone, Maximiliano Bazkoare stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Enzo Marin came out of the goal and Maximiliano Bazkoare tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Carrizal AFC booed when Independiente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damaso Havier didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Anier Rito to make the kick off. If Damaso Havier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 56th match minute, Carrizal AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marco Erramu to maneuver through the defense. Eleuterio Abella sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 59 minutes into the match, Carrizal AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Mauricio Azevedo came free, but Vicente Aguilera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Damaso Havier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Aguilera having to interfere. The Independiente fans' excitement grew in the 63rd match minute when Independiente's Mauricio Azevedo looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The supporters of Carrizal AFC booed when Independiente was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Francisco Peli didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 67th match minute, Independiente was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eleuterio Abella to maneuver through the defense. Independiente's Enzo Marin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Independiente from getting a goal against them. Eleuterio Abella received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Vicente Aguilera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 77 minutes, Silvio Eguzki managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Independiente's supporters crossed their fingers, but Silvio Eguzki was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 80th minute, Modesto Goiz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Carrizal AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After a rather tough play, Independiente's Damaso Havier got a free kick in the 87th minute. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Independiente players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
