Lorenzo Montrell hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Aragonés's Denis Javiero got a free kick in the 34th minute. The supporters of Huanchilla booed when Aragonés was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Denis Javiero didn't get a good kick on the ball. Erubiel Iigo scored 2-0 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alfredo Gaskon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Aragonés's Alfredo Gaskon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carmelo Corderro in the 43rd minute of play. Erubiel Iigo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Gaskon having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jose Jesco to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Aragonés's Jose Jesco got a free kick in the 54th minute. Alfredo Gaskon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erubiel Iigo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 75 played minutes Huanchilla got a freekick which was hit by Eleuterio Cidro. In the 80th match minute, Huanchilla was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramiro Cruz to maneuver through the defense. Felipe Moise took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 81st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bernardo Jakue. Huanchilla's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Jose Jesco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Benedicto Tohias succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-1 in the 86th playminute.
