The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ubaldo Lore was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Sean Allison showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 6 minute of play. Silvio Egun showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Silvio Egun recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dr Favaloro's Ubaldo Lore played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Omar Haritzeder in the 25th minute of play. Ubaldo Lore showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sean Allison, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Narciso Demesio kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. In the 29th minute, Sean Allison reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ubaldo Lore. The goal made the score 3-0. In the 32nd match minute, Dr Favaloro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Humberto-Dionisio Maschio to maneuver through the defense. If Sean Allison had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sean Allison in the 39th minute of play forced Dr Favaloro's goalkeeper Ubaldo Lore to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ubaldo Lore was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Silvio Egun showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 4-0 in the 42 minute of play. Narciso Demesio kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Cuquero's Sean Allison got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Silvio Egun was the one to do the kick off. Dr Favaloro's Ubaldo Lore played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romário Carioca in the 55th minute of play. Omar Haritzeder scored 6-0 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ubaldo Lore, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Cuquero booed when Dr Favaloro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Melquiades Naldo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dario Cambiasso didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Humberto-Dionisio Maschio went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 6-1 was the resulting score. Ubaldo Lore made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sean Allison in the 75th minute of play. In the 83rd minute Omar Haritzeder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ubaldo Lore saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Omar Haritzeder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
