When the match clock showed 23 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Higinio Gaitan sped through Matagusanos AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Edelmiro Brun. In the 25th minute, Leopoldo Henrico made a precise shot to the right of Edelmiro Brun. Matagusanos AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. After having played for 32 minutes, Leopoldo Henrico managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vilma Palma's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leopoldo Henrico was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ceferino Todor's late challenge caught a Vilma Palma's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Higinio Gaitan in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edelmiro Brun saved Matagusanos AFC from getting behind. Leopoldo Henrico recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Leopoldo Henrico might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edelmiro Brun. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leopoldo Henrico ran back to his position shaking his head. Edelmiro Brun made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leopoldo Henrico in the 54th minute of play. In the 55th minute, Rolando Franco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 56th minute, Marcelo Huly sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Matagusanos AFC's Edelmiro Brun didn't even have to move. Edelmiro Brun was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Higinio Gaitan showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 59 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Vilma Palma's Severo Ovando got a free kick in the 64th minute. After 68 minutes, Gualterio Seber mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Matagusanos AFC and the Vilma Palma players grew even worse after the yellow card. Edelmiro Brun made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Mauro Cesario sent off a good shot on target. In the 90th match minute, Matagusanos AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victorino Baumer to maneuver through the defense. Edelmiro Brun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcelo Huly, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The corner ended in Mauro Cesario almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Matagusanos AFC's Edelmiro Brun did a great save. Benedykt Pawelczyk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edelmiro Brun having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anastasio Regis in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ronaldão Penha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vilma Palma played a much better game than Matagusanos AFC and deserved their victory. The Matagusanos AFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
