Faustino Mambru who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 18thth minute tested the skills of Roque Cordarrol when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Viorel Uncuţă kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Roque Cordarrol. That made the score 3-0 in the 19 minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Faustino Mambru managed to get in a good position for a shot. 11 Chivos Reales's supporters rose to their feet, but Faustino Mambru was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roque Cordarrol breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Faustino Mambru recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cecilio Txordon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Roque Cordarrol tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Faustino Mambru sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 43rd minute, Faustino Mambru hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Viorel Uncuţă managed to get in a good position for a shot. 11 Chivos Reales's supporters rose to their feet, but Viorel Uncuţă was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roque Cordarrol breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Viorel Uncuţă was the one to do the kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Saavedra's goal looked a bit too open when Faustino Mambru came free, but Roque Cordarrol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Viorel Uncuţă in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Roque Cordarrol prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 60th minute Faustino Mambru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roque Cordarrol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Viorel Uncuţă in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Roque Cordarrol saved Saavedra from getting behind. The supporters of 11 Chivos Reales booed when Saavedra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Constantino Lain didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rene Quintyn's late challenge caught a 11 Chivos Reales's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rene Quintyn helped the player get up and apologised. In the 69th minute, Viorel Uncuţă made a precise shot to the right of Roque Cordarrol. Saavedra's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0. Viorel Uncuţă struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Roque Cordarrol didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for 11 Chivos Reales. If Faustino Mambru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 85 played minutes Saavedra got a freekick which was hit by Juan Gipuzkoa. 88 minutes into the match, Saavedra's goal looked a bit too open when Viorel Uncuţă came free, but Roque Cordarrol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
