In the 25th minute Thiago Silva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eusebio Aguirre saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 26th minute of the match Cirilo Abeitia shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ulf Julin showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 28 minutes into the game, Leonardo Gervaso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Winners's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Los pibes del corner the free kick. In the 28th minute, Leonardo Gervaso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cirilo Abeitia charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The wind increased when Julian Illan made the kick off in the second half. Ulf Julin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Julian Illan's shot from short distance in the 54th minute. 58 minutes into the match, Los pibes del corner's Severo Jordy sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Eusebio Aguirre narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Leonardo Gervaso hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Eusebio Aguirre made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jacek Cieslak in the 93rd minute. Eusebio Aguirre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Severo Jordy, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. When the match was over Los pibes del corner could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Winners throughout the match.
