In the 3rd minute Joaquin Aznar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Esteve Innocenzio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dario Sandalio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Esteve Innocenzio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of CASAC booed when Velez Sport Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Denis Arixo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomás Isidor was slow to take the kick. During this time CASAC's players had a chance to rest. After having played for 42 minutes, Felipe Silvino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CASAC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felipe Silvino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tomás Isidor charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tomás Isidor the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Velez Sport Club booed when CASAC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomás Isidor didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Blas Henrico made a kick off. When Tomás Isidor came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the CASAC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomás Isidor couldn't finish the play. In the 54th minute of the match CASAC got a corner. Velez Sport Club's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tomás Isidor ran over to the corner to take the kick. 56 minutes into the game, Joaquin Aznar recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Esteve Innocenzio. Joaquin Aznar showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. Felipe Silvino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Joaquin Aznar came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the CASAC fans jumped to their feet. Esteve Innocenzio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match was over CASAC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Velez Sport Club throughout the match.
