Spectators: 7546 (Terracing: 5661, Seating: 1735, VIP seats: 150) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when José Carlos Damião took the kick off in the first half of the match. Salvador Lazcano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cirilo Primo in the 3rd minute of play. After 3 minutes, Lorenzo Lartaun mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Merced AFC and the Granateam players grew even worse after the yellow card. Lorenzo Lartaun kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. 5 minutes into the match, Merced AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Teodosio Javiero came free, but Salvador Lazcano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Merced AFC's Salvador Lazcano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ladislao Miro in the 6th minute of play. After 8 minutes of play, Merced AFC's José Carlos Damião made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fernan Gotzon was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Merced AFC's Cosme Filipo got a free kick in the 10th minute. 13 minutes into the game, Cesar Pelagius was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Granateam's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Merced AFC the free kick. After 13 played minutes Granateam got a freekick which was hit by Cesar Pelagius. 21 minutes into the match, Merced AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Cirilo Primo came free, but Salvador Lazcano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Merced AFC's Salvador Lazcano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cirilo Primo in the 22nd minute of play. José Carlos Damião's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 23rdth minute, Fernan Gotzon skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Cosme Filipo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernan Gotzon having to interfere. Fernan Gotzon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Norberto Palban in the 28th minute. With an all-out effort, Merced AFC's Fernan Gotzon threw himself towards the right post 30 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cosme Filipo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Salvador Lazcano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cirilo Primo in the 31st minute of play. 32 minutes in the game, Norberto Palban fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Fernan Gotzon having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Celestino Tabor during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Granateam getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Celestino Tabor hit a great ball. In the 37th minute, José Carlos Damião ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fernan Gotzon was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. In the 44thth minute of the game Dario Astudillo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Merced AFC's Salvador Lazcano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Salvador Lazcano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cirilo Primo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 46 played minutes Merced AFC got a freekick which was hit by Lorenzo Lartaun.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cirilo Primo to make the kick off. After 53 played minutes Granateam got a freekick which was hit by Mauricio Orlo. After 55 played minutes Merced AFC got a freekick which was hit by Joel Perpinya. Fernan Gotzon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from José Carlos Damião went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. After 60 minutes of play, Merced AFC's José Carlos Damião made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fernan Gotzon was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 64 played minutes Granateam got a freekick which was hit by Arturo Tibalt. When Arturo Tibalt fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Granateam's protests and gave Arturo Tibalt a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Granateam getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Arturo Tibalt hit a great ball. Fernan Gotzon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from José Carlos Damião in the 73rd minute of play. Salvador Lazcano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cirilo Primo in the 86th minute. A collision led to Granateam getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Celestino Tabor hit a great ball. Salvador Lazcano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cirilo Primo, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Norberto Palban kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. José Carlos Damião struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Fernan Gotzon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Merced AFC. José Carlos Damião blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fernan Gotzon having to make a save. Granateam's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
