In the 10th minute, Los Triperos's Jeronimo Jerrald ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gavino Bastiaro. Gavino Bastiaro yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. When Ciro Timo fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Deportivo Vino Tinto's protests and gave Ciro Timo a yellow card for diving instead. Ciro Timo hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. 16 minutes into the match, Deportivo Vino Tinto's goalkeeper Gavino Bastiaro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arturo Baldovino. In the 22nd match minute, Deportivo Vino Tinto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teofilo Raymundo to maneuver through the defense. If Justino Lesardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Christian Primeiro made a kick off. Arturo Baldovino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Deportivo Vino Tinto defense, Arturo Baldovino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gavino Bastiaro. The Deportivo Vino Tinto fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gavino Bastiaro should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Arturo Baldovino's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gavino Bastiaro was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. Gavino Bastiaro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Samuel Dacio in the 95th minute of the match.
