Victorio Ubelteso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 1-0 became the score in the 7th minute when Carlos Panfilo elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 11 minutes into the match, Palermo AFC's goalkeeper Epifanio Lluc had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Osvaldo Astrada. Epifanio Lluc stood somewhat misplaced when Carlos Panfilo came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 15 minute. When Carlos Panfilo came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Club A.Douglas Haig fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Panfilo couldn't finish the play. In the 19th minute of the match, Osvaldo Astrada got a very nice opportunity to score, but Epifanio Lluc was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Osvaldo Astrada could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Epifanio Lluc made a huge save. Carlos Panfilo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Carlos Panfilo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Epifanio Lluc was out of position in the 28 minute of play, and Osvaldo Astrada capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Osvaldo Astrada really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. Epifanio Lluc didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Osvaldo Astrada went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. With his leg Epifanio Lluc managed to avoid a goal in the 37thth minute, when Club A.Douglas Haig's Osvaldo Astrada fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Victorio Ubelteso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amado Sendoa in the 38th minute of the match. Victorio Ubelteso came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Palermo AFC's Isidro Salamon. But to his dismay, Isidro Salamon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Osvaldo Astrada was the one to do the kick off. Epifanio Lluc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osvaldo Astrada in the 53rd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlos Panfilo in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Epifanio Lluc prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 61 minutes into the match, Palermo AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Panfilo came free, but Epifanio Lluc reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 68 minutes into the match, Palermo AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Osvaldo Astrada came free, but Epifanio Lluc reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Victorio Ubelteso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cosme Osorio in the 95th minute. 97 minutes into the game, Club A.Douglas Haig's Osvaldo Astrada nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Epifanio Lluc made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-1.
