Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tomás Pietro started the match with the kick off. With a little luck, independiente's Venancio Millan got control of the ball when Candido Lucila tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 9th minute Mauricio Naldo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnaldo Ferrando saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Venancio Millan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Candido Lucila, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. 13 minutes into the match, Ildefonso Tab notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of independiente's Venancio Millan. Venancio Millan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 17th minute Mauricio Naldo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnaldo Ferrando saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mauricio Naldo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. A collision led to Tandil FC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Gervasio Ederono hit a great ball. Mauricio Naldo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnaldo Ferrando having to interfere. After 33 played minutes Tandil FC got a freekick which was hit by Ildefonso Tab. Venancio Millan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Candido Lucila in the 36th minute. Venancio Millan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomás Pietro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 40th minute Mauricio Naldo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnaldo Ferrando saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 41st minute, Tomás Pietro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 44 minutes into the match, independiente's goal looked a bit too open when Tomás Pietro came free, but Venancio Millan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mauricio Naldo to make the kick off. Arnaldo Ferrando showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauricio Naldo, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. In the 56thth minute of the game Tomás Pietro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but independiente's Venancio Millan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mauricio Naldo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Arnaldo Ferrando tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Venancio Millan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Candido Lucila in the 62nd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Candido Lucila in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Venancio Millan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Candido Lucila in the 67th minute of play forced independiente's goalkeeper Venancio Millan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Candido Lucila in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Venancio Millan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. independiente's Venancio Millan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Candido Lucila in the 84th minute of play. In the 87th minute, independiente's Bernabe Hermelando seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Bernabe Hermelando the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of independiente protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Bernabe Hermelando had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 89th minute there was a penalty for Tandil FC. Marcelino Marz stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Venancio Millan. 2-0. When the referee ended the match the Tandil FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
