Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Tobias Caradaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of 25 de Mayo booed when Tandil FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Javier Marquez didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomás Pietro's late challenge caught a 25 de Mayo's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tomás Pietro helped the player get up and apologised. Tomás Pietro hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. If Candido Lucila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tandil FC's goalkeeper Arnaldo Ferrando, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee ignored Tandil FC's protests and gave Candido Lucila a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Tandil FC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Candido Lucila hit a great ball. In the 39thth minute of the game Tobias Caradaro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tandil FC's Arnaldo Ferrando was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 46th match minute, 25 de Mayo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leonides Odilon to maneuver through the defense. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Tobias Caradaro made the kick off in the second half. Armando Diegotxe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. The crowd rose to their feet as Tomás Pietro kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jonas Erauso. That made the score 3-2 in the 80 minute of play. When Javier Marquez fell near the penalty area in the 90th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick.
