Rosendo Harri came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Monigotes's Guillermo Escobar. But to his dismay, Guillermo Escobar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 10 minutes into the game, Monigotes's Banban McJohnny nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rosendo Harri made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. A collision led to El Progreso de Echu getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Albino Blasi hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guillermo Lluis in the 23rd minute of play forced Monigotes's goalkeeper Isaias Conrao to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rosendo Harri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hilario Sesuldo in the 26th minute of play. In the 35th minute, Banban McJohnny made a precise shot to the right of Rosendo Harri. El Progreso de Echu's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. After 37 minutes, Lino Eyague mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the El Progreso de Echu and the Monigotes players grew even worse after the yellow card. Lino Eyague hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the El Progreso de Echu defense, Guillermo Escobar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rosendo Harri. The El Progreso de Echu fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rosendo Harri should have stopped the shot. In the 46th minute Banban McJohnny shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rosendo Harri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Lino Eyague made a kick off. Rosendo Harri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Banban McJohnny, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rosendo Harri made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guillermo Escobar in the 52nd minute. Monigotes's Alejandro Lauro shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 56th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Rosendo Harri but with some difficulty. El Progreso de Echu's Rosendo Harri proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save El Progreso de Echu from getting a goal against them. Rosendo Harri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Banban McJohnny, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Guillermo Escobar got free with Rosendo Harri in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 0-6 became the score in the 69th minute when Guillermo Escobar elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Rosendo Harri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Banban McJohnny, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rosendo Harri made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Guillermo Escobar sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Banban McJohnny kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rosendo Harri. That made the score 0-7 in the 80 minute of play. In the 83rd minute Banban McJohnny shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rosendo Harri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Guillermo Escobar got free with Rosendo Harri in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 86 played minutes El Progreso de Echu got a freekick which was hit by Luciano Servando. 87 minutes into the match, El Progreso de Echu's goal looked a bit too open when Guillermo Escobar came free, but Rosendo Harri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lino Eyague kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. In the 92nd minute, Guillermo Escobar made a precise shot to the right of Rosendo Harri. El Progreso de Echu's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-8. Monigotes played a much better game than El Progreso de Echu and deserved their victory. The El Progreso de Echu players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
