Santos Borre started the match with the kick off. 0-1 became the score in the 8th minute when Santos Borre elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Santos Borre hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Santos Borre sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Carnerillo's Santos Borre got a good chance for a goal in the 14th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Darregueira FC's Celedonio Arias got a free kick in the 15th minute. Jaime Venceslao sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carles Puyol hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. The long shot by Eloy Eguen in the 20th minute really tested Rigoberto Ekialde's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 24th minute, Jaime Venceslao hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 31 minutes, Teobaldo Salomon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Darregueira FC and the Carnerillo players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Darregueira FC's Teobaldo Salomon got a free kick in the 31st minute. The audience was convinced that Santos Borre's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hernan Mitxaut was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Melquiades Batista to make the kick off. In the 58th minute, Celedonio Arias left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Darregueira FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. 61 minutes into the match, Carnerillo's goal looked a bit too open when Celedonio Arias came free, but Rigoberto Ekialde reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Santos Borre's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hernan Mitxaut was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Melquiades Batista in the 66th minute of play forced Carnerillo's goalkeeper Rigoberto Ekialde to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Melquiades Batista recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celedonio Arias in the 83rd minute of play forced Carnerillo's goalkeeper Rigoberto Ekialde to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Santos Borre managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carnerillo's supporters rose to their feet, but Santos Borre was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hernan Mitxaut breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Darregueira FC's Hernan Mitxaut played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Santos Borre in the 92nd minute of play. In the 95th minute Melquiades Batista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rigoberto Ekialde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Darregueira FC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
