After a rather tough play, Malanzán FC's Reynaldo Moise got a free kick in the 5th minute. Elvio Misaels short, quick shot in the 6thth minute got Hilario Rio to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Hilario Rio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eloy Pasqual, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elvio Misael fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hilario Rio having to interfere. The supporters of Malanzán FC booed when Gonzalez Catan FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elvio Misael didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Malanzán FC's Hilario Rio got control of the ball when Elvio Misael tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 23 minutes, Elvio Misael managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gonzalez Catan FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elvio Misael was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Malanzán FC getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Urbano Argina hit a great ball. Hilario Rio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Elvio Misael went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 31st minute, Benedicto Mazuste hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Elvio Misael put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Hilario Rio. Eloy Pasqual took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hilario Rio. Hilario Rio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Hilario Rio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eloy Pasqual, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Elvio Misael fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hilario Rio having to interfere. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Reynaldo Moise stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The nice shot from Maximino Ticho in the 56thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Jimeno Laffitte had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Elvio Misael scored 4-0 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hilario Rio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Elvio Misael, 71 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 72nd match minute, Gonzalez Catan FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eloy Pasqual to maneuver through the defense. In the 81st minute of the match Miguel Heriberto shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jimeno Laffitte showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 82 minutes, Jimeno Laffitte successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. When Eriberto Abel fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gonzalez Catan FC's protests and gave Eriberto Abel a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Gonzalez Catan FC getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Eriberto Abel hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Gonzalez Catan FC's Maximo Rafe got a free kick in the 85th minute. In the 87th match minute, Malanzán FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roque Garaona to maneuver through the defense. Malanzán FC's Reynaldo Moise was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 96th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Gonzalez Catan FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
